LGBT vets make history at Boston St. Pat’s parade

OutVets became one of the first LGBT groups to ever march in South Boston's St. Patrick's Day Parade after organizers voluntarily accepted their application. In the 1990s, the Supreme Court upheld a ban by organizers that kept LGBT groups from marching in the annual event because it was privately funded.
