Elizabeth Colbert Busch thanked her supporters Tuesday night after losing the House race for South Carolina's 1st District to Mark Sanford.
While Democrat Colbert Busch initially held a lead over Sanford, the former governor was able to overcome his past scandals, including an extramarital affair, to capture 54% of the vote.
