Twitter 'imagines' what a Ted Cruz presidency would be like

Ted Cruz's campaign launch sounded like a bad cover of the famous John Lennon song.

"Imagine."

That one word was repeated over and over again by Texas Sen. Ted Cruz as he officially launched his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016.

"Imagine in 2017 a new president signing legislation repealing every word of Obamacare ... Imagine abolishing the IRS," Cruz said.

As many politicos pointed out, "imagine" not only seemed to be a possible campaign slogan, but also a bad cover of John Lennon's masterpiece song. Would the former "Beatles" star have endorsed this conservative rewrite?
