The Palins, Bristol's right hook, and the tale of a Wasilla brawl

Sarah Palin and her family got into a furious — possibly drunken — and extremely messy brawl last weekend, Alaskan bloggers report.

Sarah Palin and her family got into a furious -- possibly drunken -- and extremely messy brawl last weekend, according to two Alaskan bloggers.

The brawl reportedly began when Track Palin, the son of the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, spotted one of his sister’s ex-boyfriends. The situation quickly escalated, reportedly involving Sarah, other Palin family members who were present, and some party attendees.

"Alcohol was believed to have been a factor in the incident."'

“Palin women screaming. Palin men thumping their chests. Word is that Bristol has a particularly strong right hook, which she employed repeatedly, and it’s something to hear when Sarah screams, 'Don’t you know who I am!' And it was particularly wonderful when someone in the crowd screamed back, 'This isn’t some damned Hillbilly reality show!' blogger Amanda Coyne writes.

Palin, meanwhile, told Fox News that she owes the country a "global apology."

"Because john McCain, through all of this, John McCain should be our president," Plain said Thursday on Fox News. "He had the advice today, still giving to Barack Obama, and he will not listen to it, about the residual forces that must be left behind in order to secure peace in Iraq that we had fought so hard for."

The details of the brawl have not been verified by msnbc, but Anchorage police did respond to an altercation where some of the Palins were present just before midnight Saturday night.

“A preliminary investigation by police revealed that a party had been taking place at a nearby residence and a fight had broken out between multiple subjects outside of the residence. At the time of the incident, none of the involved parties wanted to press charges and no arrests were made. However, the case is still an active investigation and is being reviewed by APD and the Municipal Prosecutors Office. Alcohol was believed to have been a factor in the incident. Some of the Palin family members were in attendance at the party,” the police told NBC News.

Palin and her family have been regular fodder for gossip columnists and reality television since Sarah Palin and her family were plucked from relative obscurity during the 2008 presidential campaign. After resigning her governorship in 2009, Palin and her family starred in a TLC reality television program, “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” which lasted just one season. Her second show, “Amazing America with Sarah Palin” premiered on the Sportsman Channel earlier this year and was recently renewed for another season.

Palin has been building up her public persona in recent months to coincide with the launch of her subscription based network, The Sarah Palin Channel.
