The White House Correspondents’ Dinner, known to Washington insiders as the “Nerd Prom” and mostly unknown those outside politics and the press, brings together journalists, celebrities and lawmakers, as well as the president of the United States. They all gather for one night each spring to poke a little fun at the presidency and the press — for a change of pace.
