Bernie Sanders to the rescue! The Democratic presidential candidate quickly abandoned his podium to rush to the aide of a supporter who fainted on stage during his speech in New Hampshire on Wednesday.
NBC News reporter Frank Thorp V captured Sanders' fast reaction to the unconscious man in a Vine that has gone viral with more than 5.9 million loops as of Thursday. The footage shows Sanders speaking when he's suddenly interrupted by a loud crash. The Vermont senator then turned to the source of the crash, shouting "Oh my God" as he dashed to the side of the stage where the man passed out.
The Sanders campaign event was being held at the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers' union hall in Concord, New Hampshire, and the man who fainted was reportedly a union worker. Thorp added in a tweet following the Vine that "the man laid there for a bit before he was helped up and walked out of the room."
