On PoliticsNation with the Rev. Al Sharpton, Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO) decried the "sick moment for our nation" caused by constant politicization by the Republicans.

"It's happening in Washington so much Reverend, and it's a sick moment for our nation, it's a dark moment. Because what we're doing is, we are so caught up into the disposal of President Barack Obama that we are dropping down into a level of incivility that most people have never seen before," Cleaver said.

Cleaver, the Chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, was referring to the announcement by Rep. Darrell Issa, who chairs the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, that he will hold a hearing to decide whether to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt, for what Issa said was the DOJ's refusal to cooperate with a subpoena related to the Fast and Furious investigation.

"We're trying to destroy Eric Holder for enforcing the law," Cleaver said.
