Rendell tells president to 'man-up' on gay marriage stance

Former Pennsylvania Democrat Gov.

Former Pennsylvania Democrat Gov. Ed Rendell suggested that President Obama needs to be more forthright on his views regarding gay marriage.

“He should man-up and say, ‘This is what I believe,’” Rendell said on msnbc Live with Thomas Roberts Tuesday, May 8.

White House spokesman Jay Carney said yesterday that he had “no update” on the president’s views on gay marriage despite comments this week from Vice President Joe Biden and Education Secretary Arne Duncan supporting marriage equality.

The Washington Post has determined that one in six of the Obama campaign's top bundlers are gay. On Monday, May 14, the president will headline a fundraiser in New York hosted by the LGBT Leadership Council and performer Ricky Martin who came out publicly in 2010.
