Pop star Katy Perry tries her hand at being a meteorologist for a cause in a new promotional video from UNICEF.

As the 2015 Paris Climate Conference gets underway, the "Hot and Cold" singer stars in a faux weather report detailing the devastation caused by climate change in countries all over the world.

"Today, we’re seeing more extreme weather everywhere and as a California Girl, I’m not the only one experiencing drought," says Perry. She goes on to describe weather crises in Bangladesh, The Philippines and East Africa, where 800 children die each day due to mosquito-borne malaria.

"And the forecast is: conditions will worsen,” Perry, who is a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF, says in the video.

The video is part of a #FightUnfair campaign, which hopes to raise awareness about the impact that climate change is having.

Perry has become increasing active on social and political issues. After campaigning in a "ballot dress" for Barack Obama's re-election in 2012, Perry has now thrown her weight behind Hillary Clinton's campaign for the presidency. "She's my firework," Perry said about the former secretary of state during a campaign appearance in October. Previously, Perry pitched her hit song "Roar" as a potential theme song for the Clinton campaign.

"Well that’s not a Hard Choice," Clinton responded on Twitter. "Keep letting us hear you Roar."
