Donald Trump hammers home anti-establishment message

“The establishment, the media, the special interest, the lobbyist, the donors, they’re all against me,” the Republican front-runner said in a video Monday.

A week before the Iowa caucuses, Donald Trump is hammering home his anti-establishment message in Facebook a video. Within one hour of its posting, the video reached over 30,000 people and was shared more than 4,000 times.

“The establishment, the media, the special interest, the lobbyist, the donors, they’re all against me,” the Republican front-runner says straight into the camera from his desk, hands flailing.

“I’m self-funding my campaign. I don’t owe anybody anything. I only owe it to the American people to do a great job. They are really trying to stop me. Everybody knows it, everybody sees it,” he adds.

In recent weeks Trump has upped his attacks not only on establishment groups, but also his chief rival -- and former campaign pal -- Ted Cruz.

“The biggest problem he has, he’s a nasty guy and nobody likes him. Not one Republican senator. He works with them every day. Not one Republican senator has endorsed Ted Cruz … that’s actually impossible to even believe,” Trump said Sunday on NBC's “Meet the Press.” It was a shift from his attacks on Cruz’s eligibility as a U.S. citizens to a more personal level.

First thing Monday, Trump took to Twitter to continue in that vein. “It's time for Ted Cruz to either settle his problem with the FACT that he was born in Canada and was a citizen of Canada, or get out of race,” he wrote.

Trump also tweeted out his video, “The establishment,” to his more than 5 million followers -- a tweet which has been retweeted more than 1,000 times. ”We’re gonna win. We’re gonna win it for the people. We’re gonna win it for our country. We’re going to make america great again.”

Fighting the Establishment

I want to win for the people of this great country. The only people I will owe are the voters. The media, special interests, and lobbyists are all trying to stop me. We won't let that happen! #MakeAmericaGreatAgain #Trump2016
