Conrad Hilton, brother to Paris, has been arrested for "interference with flight crew members and attendants" following a recent flight from London to the U.S.

On July 31, Hilton threatened to kill crew members and the co-pilot of British Airways flight 269 in profanity-laced tirades. He told the co-pilot "if you wanna square up to me bro, then bring it on and I will [EXPLETIVE] fight you." He told a flight attendant that the flight crew was "taking the peasants' side" and that he was angry over a recent breakup. Later telling another flight attendant, "my father will pay this out, he has done it before. Dad paid $300,000 last time."

Hilton was charged by authorities in federal court Tuesday in California.

In witnesses interviews, one of the members of the flight crew told the FBI that Hilton's yelling led to children on the flight starting to cry. In the middle of his tirades, Hilton smoked a cigarette and later marijuana in one of the plane's bathrooms according to the federal affidavit. After the smoking incidents, Hilton returned to his seat and the co-pilot told the FBI that he assembled a "restraint team" of flight attendants.

Calls to Hilton's family were not immediately returned.
