Vice President Joe Biden made a surprise Election Day visit to Cleveland as President Obama's campaign pulled out all the stops to turn out supporters in pivotal Ohio.
Biden's plane crossed paths with that of Paul Ryan, who also—like his running-mate Mitt Romney—is campaigning in northern Ohio.
It's unusual for the candidates to still be campaigning on Election Day. The Obama campaign had initially said that Romney's plans to be in Ohio Tuesday suggested desperation.
Biden is to join Obama at a Chicago rally Tuesday night.
