While it’s still too early to officially call Florida, the NBC News Desk at midnight shows President Obama leading Mitt Romney 50% to 49% with 92% of precincts reporting.

At 12:40am, that’s 4,029,900 votes cast so far for the president and 3,976,146 for his opponent. And many of the outstanding votes are from the Democratic stronghold of Miami-Dade County.

However, it looks like for now, we may be stuck at 92%. The elections supervisor for Miami-Dade has reportedly said the final vote tally will not be completed until Wednesday.

Officials in Pinellas County, one of the swing counties along the I-4 Corridor and unique for its 50/50 makeup of Democrats and Republicans, also announced 9,500 absentee ballots won’t be counted until tomorrow.
