This Sunday on MSNBC, our very own Jacob Soboroff and Katy Tur launch a new series in which they explore the murky waters of American politics. In “The American Swamp,” the correspondents travel the United States, talking to experts about some of the biggest issues facing our democracy. In this first episode, Katy and Jacob take a hard look at big money in our legislative system and Jacob explores the implications of non-profit social welfare groups, like the NRA or Planned Parenthood, that take money from big donors and donate to political campaigns. The issue? They aren’t required to disclose who they take their money from.
