In the new docuseries “The American Swamp” on MSNBC, Katy Tur and Jacob Soboroff explore some of the biggest issues facing our democracy. The first episode, airing this Sunday, examines how big money influences our politics and the efforts that some places are taking to ensure that their residents know who is influencing their democracy. Montana is one of the few states to implement its own campaign finance restrictions. Jacob met with a few state senators to discuss Montana’s unusual approach to big money.
