A lost musical archive sees the light of day on new album

When he died in 2016, music producer Earl McGrath left behind a trove of rare and unheard tapes from Daryl Hall and John Oates, David Johansen and more. Journalist Joe Hagan discovered the tapes, and they have now been released on a new double album called 'Earl's Closet: The Lost Archive of Earl McGrath, 1970-1980.' Hagan joins Morning Joe to discuss how the project came to be.Sept. 28, 2022
