Texas Governor Rick Perry is creating new controversy on the campaign trail.  A day after Perry questioned global warming, the newly announced presidential candidate discussed evolution with a young boy in New Hampshire yesterday. He said "It is a theory that's out there. It's got some gaps in it. In Texas, we teach both creationism and evolution in our public schools."

Fellow candidate, former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman responded to Perry's comments via twitter.  He wrote, "To be clear, I believe in evolution and trust scientists on global warming. Call me crazy."  It comes as Reuters reports that members of President Obama's re-election team think the Texas Governor will be easier to beat than Mitt Romney. Reuters quotes a former White House aide linked to the campaign as saying, "I was praying Perry would get in the race."
