Newt Gingrich is on the defensive again. Yesterday, NBC News reported that the recent exodus of Gingrich’s campaign staff was due to problems with his wife, Callista. Members of Gingrich’s staff say Callista insisted that the campaign arrange screenings for the couple's movies made by their for-profit production company. Gingrich dismissed the report last nighton Fox News.  He said, "I believe NBC owes Callista an apology, because the fact is my campaign is my campaign. Yes, we make decisions as a couple, but in the end I take full responsibility."   Gingrich remains down lower in the polls of potential 2012 Republican candidates. The NBC News Wall Street Journal Poll shows Mitt Romney leading the field with 43 percent, followed by Ron Paul and Michelle Bachmann, both with 11 percent. Only 8 percent say they will support Gingrich.
