Former President Bill Clinton is starring in a new TV advertisement for fellow Democrat Marjorie Margolies, who is also his daughter Chelsea's mother-in-law.

"If you send Marjorie to Congress, she'll make you proud, she'll vote right," Clinton says in the new commercial. The video includes footage from when he endorsed Margolies as a congressional candidate earlier this year.

Margolies, who was a close confidant of the Clinton family in the White House, is in the midst of a comeback for the May 20 Democratic congressional primary in Pennsylvania, a choice she made public last May. Previously the former congresswoman was defeated in a brutal midterm election for Democrats around the country in 1994, a year after she cast the deciding vote for Clinton's budget.

The seat is being vacated by current Rep. Allyson Schwartz, a Democrat who is running for governor. Margolies faces State Sen. Daylin Leach, State Rep. Brendan Boyle and physician Val Arkoosh in the election.

Her son, Marc Mezvinsky, is married to Chelsea Clinton. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is scheduled to attend a fundraiser for Margolies on Thursday.

"I think America will be a better place," the eldest Clinton added, "and this district will be well served if you elect her."
