Several reports are emerging of a minor bomb explosion last night outside of a Planned Parenthood clinic in Grand Chute, WI. No injuries have been reported. From WTAQ, a news-talk radio station servicing the Green Bay area:
Grand Chute police are investigating an explosive device that blew up at Planned Parenthood. It happened about 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Planned Parenthood office at 3800 North Gillett Street. The explosion started a fire that quickly burned itself out. The fire and explosion caused a small amount of damage to the building.
ThinkProgress flagged this report about the increasing opposition to several bills coming out of Wisconsin's Republican-led legislature, including one that that would "add new requirements for doctors to ensure a woman isn't forced into an abortion":
The Wisconsin Medical Society's letter said the bill passed earlier this month by the Republican-controlled state Legislature would infringe on the physician-patient relationship. The doctors group also expressed concern that physicians who fail to follow the bill exactly will face a Class I felony charge...Issues of contraception, reproduction and the teaching of sexuality remain in the hands of government officials, as evidenced by a host of recent legislation that includes banning abortion coverage from policies obtained through a health insurance exchange that is to begin in 2014, and requiring schools to teach abstinence in sex education classes.
One of the three Republican presidential primaries being held tomorrow is in Wisconsin. I never thought I'd say this, but I wish there were yet another Republican presidential debate tonight. Considering this bombing attempt, this controversial state legislation -- oh, and Governor Scott Walker potentially being recalled in June -- we should hear the candidates go on the record on all of it.

Postscript: Another thing I'd like to hear the candidates comment on in Wisconsin is the raging debate over the state's new "castle doctrine" law, the law that protected the killer of 20-year-old Bo Morrison. More on that in a separate post later today.
