NAACP President: Blackface ‘was racist then and it’s racist now’


MSNBC’s Kendis Gibson interviews NAACP President and CEO Derrick Johnson about Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam’s refusal to resign after it was discovered that there was a racist photo on Northam’s medical school yearbook page. Northam now says he’s not either of the people in the photo, but that he wore blackface once on a separate occasion and regrets it. Johnson says Northam should resign.
