The Inquiry: Judge denies “absolute immunity” of White House

In a court victory for House Democrats, a federal judge ruled that former White House counsel Don McGahn must comply with a congressional subpoena. As expected, the Department of Justice has already filed an appeal seeking a stay. It’s unlikely McGahn will appear on the Hill anytime soon. However, legal analysts have speculated that this ruling could clear the way for other high value witnesses in the impeachment inquiry to testify.
