Sen. King: “It would be a huge mistake” to fire Mueller

07:49

Sen. Angus King, who sits on the Senate Intelligence Committee, tells Kasie Hunt on Kasie DC that it may be appropriate for Congress to move forward on legislation protecting special counsel Robert Mueller from being fired. Deliberations surrounding such a measure follow reports that the president had planned to fire Mueller in June. Sen. King also warned President Trump that firing the special counsel would only drag the Russia investigation out longer.
