The Senate Foreign Relations Committee is holding a confirmation hearing for Samantha Power to be the next U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. Power is a former foreign policy adviser to President Obama, and already has the support of some GOP senators. Former Ambassador Nick Burns will discuss the impact Power could have on human rights as the new ambassador.

Liz Cheney, daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, surprised  Republicans on Tuesday by announcing she would challenge popular incumbent Mike Enzi for the Republican Senate nomination in Wyoming. Enzi has held the post since 1996 and was caught off guard by the announcement. We'll discuss what Cheney's decision says about the unity of the Republican Party.
