President Obama in the East Room of the White House in Washington, D.C. on March 4, 2013.

On day five of sequestration, we're focusing on the effects being felt around the country, from furloughs to air travel. We'll discuss with Rep. Charlie Rangel, D-N.Y., and Chicago Sun-Times Washington Bureau Chief Lynn Sweet and the Huffington Post's Washington Bureau Chief Ryan Grim.

The Washington Post's E.J. Dionne joins us today to talk about his recent opinion piece, "In church and country, a crisis of governance" arguing that both the Catholic church and American political system are divided with serious consequences.

Former Republican Governor of South Carolina Mark Sanford is trying to stage a political comeback with a run for Jim DeMint's Senate seat. New York magazine reports that the affair that forced him out of office notwithstanding, he's asked his ex-wife to chair his Senate campaign. Read about it here, then tune in for our conversation with democratic strategist Emily Tisch Sussman and republican strategist Rich Galen.

"Marie Claire" magazine's Lea Goldman and "Essence" magazine's Tanisha Sykes join us to discuss "Queen Bee syndrome," the idea that women are tearing their female colleagues down in an effort to gain ground in an ever-competitive work environment.

Plus, msnbc's Richard Lui "drills down" on sequestration's effect on America's poor.
