Three new arrests were made in the Boston Marathon bombing case Wednesday, as Dias Kadyrbayev, Azamat Tazhayakov, and Robel Phillipos were charged with obstruction - allegedly taking a laptop and a backpack full of  fireworks from Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's dorm room in the days after the bombing and throwing the backpack in the garbage. Two of the suspects are originally from Kazakhstan and in the U.S. on student visas.

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., called for a closer look at immigration reform in light of the Boston bombings:

"Maybe it's part of immigration, overall immigration reform. We should look at the process of who is allowed into this country, under what circumstances, what is their situation and background, particularly from countries that have histories such as Dagestan and Chechnya and others where there has been significant influence of radical Islamic extremism."

We'll talk it over with Congressman Mike Thompson, a member of the House Intelligence Committee, and The Washington Post's E.J. Dionne and Politico's Manu Raju.

On cabinet watch: President Obama is set to name Chicago businesswoman Penny Pritzker as head of the Commerce Department as well as top economic adviser Mike Froman as the next U.S. Trade Representative.
