Something new is brewing at Starbucks—$1 reusable cups.

Plastic tumblers, which resemble Starbucks' paper cups, are being rolled out nationwide Thursday. Customers will get a 10 cent discount when they bring it in for a refill.

The new cups will be cleaned with boiling water each time customers bring them in. Starbucks is making the move as part of an environmentally-friendly attempt to keep all those Venti and Grande paper cups from ending up in landfills.

In 2008, the Seattle-based coffee giant said it wanted to serve 25% of all drinks in reusable cups by 2015. That goal has since been reduced to 5%.
