Glenn Lewis, the mayor of Moore, Oklahoma, which was destroyed Monday by a massive tornado that left dozens dead, knows the disaster drill all too well. Moore was in office 14 years ago when another tornado killed 36 and wrecked homes and businesses in the region.
"We've been through it before, so we'll get through it again," he told Chris Jansing, on-scene for Jansing & Co. in Moore, Okla.
Lewis said he spoke with President Obama and FEMA Director Craig Fugate Tuesday.
"They've offered us anything we need, basically," he said. "I think we're going to take them up on that offer because we're going to need a lot of stuff here."
