It's still not entirely clear what damage -- or how much damage -- the sequester cuts will do. But the first casualty seems to be President Obama's approval rating, which has tumbled to its lowest point since he won re-election. A new Gallup three-day tracking poll shows the president has fallen seven points since last week, to 46% approval.

The Senate Intelligence Committee will hold its vote today on the nomination of John Brennan for CIA director. Brennan's nomination has been politicized by Republicans who say they want the administration to give more information about what they knew about the Sept. 11 attacks in Benghazi, Libya.
