Romney unleashes the attack dogs: Mitt's stepping up his attacks against Newt Gingrich, who's now opening huge leads in polls across the country. Romney surrogates are doing the most attacking with John Sununu and Chris Christie leading the fight. And check out Romney's new ad which hits Gingrich on personal issues, albeit subtly.
Tonight we'll also look at all the things President Obama has going for him as he launches his re-election campaign. A new poll finds he's very strong among African-American and Latino voters. And he should be touting his major accomplishments, plus the news that two of his biggest achievements -- health care reform and the stimulus -- actually are helping.
We also have the Hardball Strategists on tonight to talk about whether Newt Gingrich at the top of the Republican ticket is actually harmful to the GOP's hopes of winning back the Senate. Just check out the latest poll showing Democrat Elizabeth Warren leading Sen. Scott Brown in Massachusetts.
And we'll wrap up the show with Evan Thomas and Mike Allen, authors of the new e-book The Right Fights Back.
