And I want to bring to your attention  to one of the local New York groups that's doing good work helping with relief efforts in the wake of tropical storm Sandy.

I'd like you to get your pens out and write this information down for yourself.

It's in Staten Island and it's called the Doctor Theodore Atlas Foundation. It's run by a good man, Teddy Atlas, whose father treated the people of Staten Island for half a century and was much beloved.

Teddy's group helps families year-round deal with real needs they can't afford. Right now, with so many families on Staten Island facing really tragic need, Teddy Atlas is out there raising money to help them.

Here's how to help this good man do good work:

The website is DrAtlasFoundation.com.

The address is:

Doctor Theodore Atlas Foundation, 543 Cary Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10310.

If you've seen the devastation caused by Sandy up in that area, I know you'll want to get involved. It's a good thing to be doing.
