When asked by NBC’s Garrett Haake about the poor attendance at the DHS' election security briefing this morning, Rep. Michael McCaul, Homeland Security Committee Chair, placed blame on the briefing’s early start time: “Well it was the 8 o’clock In defense to my colleagues,” adding, “They’ve been talking a lot about this issue, we were a little surprised that not as many showed up.”
