The trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin will continue as scheduled after the judge denied the defense team's motion to delay or move the trial after the city's $27 million settlement with George Floyd's family. Hennepin County District Judge Peter Cahill also ruled that a portion of evidence from George Floyd's 2019 arrest is admissible.March 19, 2021
