In Operation Varsity Blues, 50 people have been charged in a scheme that investigators say exposes the corruption and fraud in the elite college admissions system. The alleged scheme focused on getting students admitted to elite universities as recruited athletes, regardless of their athletic abilities, and helping potential students cheat on their college exams.March 12, 2019
