The All In with Chris Hayes team puts out a daily call to the Twitter and Facebook communities for the “awesomest things” they encountered on the Internet.
1. A women's group in England hosted a talk with a Somali pirate expert. Sadly, the women misunderstood the purpose of his visit and dressed up as pirates (think Renaissance Fair) for the occasion. Pretty embarrassing. But also very funny.
2. A guy watches The Matrix with his 65-year-old mother who had never seen the film. When it's over he interviews her about it. Her replies capture "old folks are totally out of touch" in all the best ways.
3. A German study shows that people have negative reactions to robots getting abused. However the participants did distinguish between humans and robots: there was a greater negative reaction to watching humans get abused than to robots. That makes sense, because, after all we "are not robots." Watch the video below; what's your reaction?
