Fmr. Energy Secretary: Iran nuclear deal verifiably made sure Iran had no nuclear weapon
Tensions with Iran are rising after the U.S. withdrew from the Iran Nuclear Deal. Ernest Moniz, Energy Secretary under President Obama and one of the negotiators of the deal, tells Ali Velshi why this withdrawal is a “strategic error.” He says Iran is complying and allowing international inspections access to sites that the I.A.E.A requests – a portion of the deal Secretary Moniz says “does not ‘sunset,’” despite the president’s claims.
