msnbc host Alex Witt asked former New York City Mayor David Dinkins about what what motivates people to come out against President Obama. The mayor said he thinks it has to do with race to some degree.
The mayor then explained his support for Hillary Clinton over Barack Obama in 2008. Dinkins says the Clintons had been kind to him and that he supported her out of friendship and loyalty.
Mayor Dinkins also talked about his upcoming 60th wedding anniversary celebration. He also told Witt he agreed about the axiom that being a grandparent is better than parenting.
