As migration slowed through Greece, many were left stuck at Balkan gates, with almost no new rafts coming ashore.

A horrific attack in Lahore, Pakistan, left a country in mourning just as western Europe was recovering from its recent attacks in Brussels.

Political events in the United States continue to see rising tensions and rhetoric, with striking contrasts on both sides of the ideological aisle. Supporters of Donald Trump were seen reciting the pledge of allegiance and some 25,000 supporters of Bernie Sanders came out for a rally in The Bronx.  

Japanese cherry blossoms are at their peak in Tokyo this week.
