Watch Ali Velshi honor the life of civil rights activist Fred Korematsu, who would have turned 100 years old today. After being convicted for refusing to go to prison camps after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, he appealed his case to the Supreme Court. The court ruled against him, but his case was overturned in a general court in San Francisco in 1983. Korematsu lobbied for passage of a bill that would grant an apology and compensation for Japanese Americans who were incarcerated. He is a #MonumentalAmerican.Jan. 30, 2019
