Newt Gingrich won the South Carolina Republican primary last night after a huge swing in the polls during the final week. On today’s first hour we talk about what sparked this change in voters’ minds and break down how it affects Mitt Romney going forward. Plus, we pre-game the Sunday talk shows and discuss Citizens United’s two-year anniversary by looking at Stephen Colbert’s Super Pac campaign.

Joining Chris on the panel are former governor and attorney general of New York Eliot Spitzer, President Reagan’s former director of the Office of Management and Budget David Stockman, msnbc contributor and starting February 4th host of her own show on msnbc following Up w/ Chris Hayes Melissa Harris-Perry, msnbc contributor on the ground in South Carolina Dave Weigel, and economics reporter for The New York Times Catherine Rampell.
