‘Justice is not just for Trayvon Martin’

Maya Wiley of the Center for Social Inclusion told Up host Steve Kornacki why she believes a civil lawsuit against George Zimmerman is likely now that he has been found not guilty of second-degree murder in the killing of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

For Martin’s parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, their son’s death is about more than just one life.

“Justice is not just for Trayvon Martin,” Wiley said. “Justice here is to make sure that black people can walk down the streets of America, innocent and unarmed, and not be afraid that they are going to be killed.”

Zimmerman pleaded not guilty in Martin’s death, saying he acted out of self-defense.
