Court decision rejects govt. justification for NSA phone program
A federal appeals court says the NSA’s bulk collection of Americans’ phone records is excessive and illegal though they are allowing the program to continue temporarily. The court says it has concerns about the fine line between national security and privacy and it is asking Congress to step in.
