From New York City's historic Stonewall Inn to San Francisco's famed Castro, gay pride parades across the country were especially exuberant following the Supreme Court's landmark decisions to strike down the Defense of Marriage Act, and allow gay couples to once again marry in the state of California.
But the celebrations didn't stop there. From London to Caracas, revelers painted the world rainbow, and showed that though pride can come in many different languages, some sentiments are universal: "Love is love."
