The House just delayed the hotly anticipated vote on Boehner debt plan this evening. While Speaker Boehner’s scrambles for the 216 votes, Sarah Palin tweeted out a message to House freshmen, who are being widely being blamed for the current no-compromise, take no prisoners atmosphere in the debt ceiling debate. (H/T WSJ's Jonathan Weisman).Palin links to her Facebook page, which displays an open letter she wrote to GOP freshmen right after the 2010 midterm election. In the note titled "For Such A Time As This," she added emphasis in the parts she wants frosh to re-consider. read more

Michele Bachmann's congressional district.Nine teens have committed suicide in the past two years in the Anoka-Hennepin school district north of Minneapolis-St. Paul, many of them after being bullied for being homosexual.Bachmann hasn't publicly commented on these deaths. This week, Gov. Christie appeared in Iowa where he, again, denied rumors of a 2012 run. He also stayed quiet on his pick for the GOP nomination.Why would a non-potential candidate appear in a big primary state if he’s not even considering a run for office?Christie says only time will tell. Maher talks frustration with Obama

 The bleep button was on standby as Lawrence spoke with Bill Maher, host of HBO's Real Time. The pair chatted about the debt ceiling, the 2012 election and all things in between.
