Debt super committee takes shape

Congressional leaders appointed nearly all of the members on the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction. We're still waiting on House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's three appointees. Those are expected to come in soon.Comprised of 12 members, the bi-partisan committee is equally divided between Democrats and Republicans and each chamber. They've got until Thanksgiving to figure out at least $1.2 trillion dollars in government savings.Today, House Majority Leader John Boehner appointed Rep. Jeb Hensarling to serve as a co-chair. Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum got all "metaphysical” when trying to explain why he thinks marriage equality should not exist in this country. Speaking at a grocery store in Iowa, the right-winger cited a napkin as an example to somehow prove his point. London is bracing for another night of rioting in the streets. The Metropolitan Police force said 16,000 officers will start patrolling 24/7 and may employ the use of plastic bullets to help restore order.The riots began Saturday after the fatal shooting of Mark Duggan, a dad of four and suspected drug dealer who was allegedly gunned down Scotland Yard.
