Nerd Alert! Earlier today, the Huffington Post pointed us to a historical gem on the Interwebs. In February 1956, 96-year-old Samuel J. Seymour appeared on the CBS show "I've Got a Secret." His secret: he had witnessed the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln at Ford's Theater in Washington, D.C. on April 15, 1865.

Seymour tells the host of the show that he was just five-years-old when family friends invited him to the play. According to the Washington Times, young Samuel got a good look at the president and said "he looked stern because of his whiskers." Little did the young boy he would be one of the last people to see President Lincoln alive.

Unfortunately, Seymour died just a few months after his appearance on "I've Got a Secret" but what a cool moment to have captured on YouTube.
