Watch: Obama tells groom to put a ring on it!

When the President of the United States asks to hear your engagement story, you basically have to tell your engagement story.

When the President of the United States asks to hear your engagement story, you basically have to tell your engagement story.

This video comes from a stop President Obama made at one of his campaign offices back in August. He met two staffers, Sara El-Amine and Matthew Saniie, who had just gotten engaged. The President asked El-Amine jokingly, "So I'm responsible?"

The groom-to-be was also called over, and President Obama posed with the newly-engaged couple. After a round of applause, El-Amine told the President, "Whoah. You're too cool."

Saniie then began to tell the story of their engagement, and that's when the President learned the couple had been together for five years before the engagement. El-Amine joked, "Like, put a ring on it!" President Obama, Beyoncé fan that he is (she did, after all, sing "At Last" at an Inauguration ball in 2009 and write the Commander-in-Chief a letter on Election Day), backed up the bride-to-be with a perfect Beyoncé "Put a Ring On It" hand wave.

And that is a story that will be told no less than 14 dozen times at this couple's wedding. Because it's awesome.
