Rep. Tom Cole (R-Okla.) came out this week and suggested that his fellow Republicans accept the president's fiscal cliff deal of extending the Bush tax cuts for everyone but the richest 2%. On Thursday's Last Word, msnbc's Lawrence O'Donnell conjectured that Cole's statement may have been authorized by Speaker John Boehner.
