The Last Word hearts research

This stack of papers represents two days of Rewrite research. Yeah... so far it's been that kind of week. But don't worry -- we recycle. And actually, most of these documents (particularly the big 'ole government studies in this giant stack 'o papers) will likely have a place in my office for the forseeable future because the information in them is all quite relevant to a lot of the topics we hit on every week.

After discussing all of this research this afternoon, Lawrence and I put the topic on hold for a possible Rewrite later this week for another really interesting story that's been buried in today's headlines (therefore, there will be no spoilers as to the contents of said documents). So tonight Lawrence will be talking about -- to borrow and tweak a line from tonight's Rewrite script -- the Communist Party of Cuba continuing its relentless march toward... Capitalism, of course. For a bit of background on this, today's New York Times has a great story on the topic.
