Megamillions Mitt Romney told a group of unemployed people he’s one of them.
“I should tell my story,” the Republican presidential hopeful said at coffee shop in Tampa. “I’m also unemployed.”
Romney spoke with a small group of out-of-work Floridians today about their struggles to land a new job.
One job seeker asked him if he was on LinkedIn, the professional social networking site.
“I’m networking,” said woe-is-me Romney. “I have my sight on a particular job.”
Democrats pounced on his bad joke immediately. DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Shultz called it “a reflection of his inability to comprehend the struggles of the American people.”
Earlier this week, Romney released a new ad attacking President Obama for his “bump in the road” comment on economic recovery.
